The Battle of Hastings

1066 was the year that changed the way people in England live forever. 
These two men challenged the new king of England, Harold Godwinson. 
William, the Duke of Normandy (later he would be known as William the 
Conqueror) was a former friend of Harold Godwinson, (the son of Godwin), 
the Earl of Wessex. Harold Haradra was defeated by Harold Godwin before
 the battle of hastings to become king just like the others.

As with many rulers in history, William and Harold Hardrada both wanted 
to challenge the king of England for the land and power.
